04/11/2022 - The ASH & Starnberger Alm donates a total of €15,000 to the "Stiftung RTL (Radio Télévision Luxembourg))– We help the Children e.V. Foundation" and thereby directly to Ukrainian families affected by the war in their homeland.

"The world has not been the same for almost two months now. We are deeply shocked by the images we see every day. Therefore, it was a great concern for me to take direct action," says Kent Hahne, Founder of the Apeiron Restaurant and Retail Management GmbH. So, the successful restaurateur immediately sat down with his team and thought about how best to help the people on location as well as local refugees. Thus, the idea was born to donate half of the revenue sold from desserts in the restaurant concepts The ASH and the Starnberger Alm. "We as a Bonn-based company, have among others two The ASH restaurants in Cologne and recently also the Starnberger Alm at the Heumarkt. For this reason, Wolfram Kons and the RTL – We help the Children e.V. Foundation immediately came to mind, since RTL is also based here," says Hahne.

"The help are receiving is overwhelming. In my 27 years of foundation work, I have never experienced anything like it. Every cent counts, of course. We are very grateful for the 15,000 Euros now donated by Kent Hahne and his Apeiron," says Wolfram Kons, RTL's overall charity manager and chairman of the "Stiftung RTL - We help the Children e.V. Foundation V. "We guarantee that every cent goes exactly where it is needed most urgently. We use the donations for emergency aid in Ukraine as well as for aid projects for refugee children."

This is not Hahne's first commitment of this kind. During the flood disaster last summer, his restaurants brought pizzas, pasta, burgers and much more to the affected areas for weeks, thus supporting those affected and the relief workers. And it should not remain the last help of this kind. So new projects are already being implemented and planned. "At the moment we are running a campaign to get Ukrainian refugees jobs in one of our 40 restaurants, so that they are able to earn money here in Germany. Furthermore, we are currently checking what else we can do to help."
